No Makeup On

What do you think when you look at me? When you look at my Instagram page, for instance? "I wonder if I come across as conceited," were the words I thought to myself when I posted my most recent video on IG. It was a cute Snapchat filter (sn: Thank heavens for those filters 🙌 because they get you right and make you look oh-so-glamorous... Even with no make up on).

But the filter I used was promoting beauty, lashes, mascara and all that. I actually hesitated to post it because I never want to be seen as if I'm all about my looks or just that into me, myself and I. But if I were to be honest with you... I just wanted something to give me a little boost of confidence for that moment, if you will.

Well, in episode 3 of my podcast, The Single WifeLife, I share the need to accept you for you! With no makeup on; beyond the Snapchat filters... Just you!

My Piece/Peace of the 🌍!

When I tell you, peace and quite in my own little piece/peace of this world is all I desire 💯👌🏾💖… I am so grateful to be in a safe place; physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially and so on… Money can’t buy contentment or happiness! My kids are loved and well taken care of, I’ve learned my self-worth throughout this journey of life and no one can ever take my worthiness away, my business is coming along successfully, my skin is glowing, my daily routine is productive, my time is what I set it to be, I am intentional, I am whole and complete, I am a Virtuous Woman, I am loved by my Father, God Almighty and He is proud of His daughter… this brings me happiness and contentment. Just sitting on my bed, breathing as the sun shines in. Babbbbyyyy… these here sun rays always got my body synthesizing this Vitamin D and it legit puts me in a good mood👏🏾every👏🏾single👏🏾day ☀️💯. Just being able to have piece/peace and quiet… and watch the sunset from my balcony ...

THIS IS NOT EDUCATION!!!

#JustThinkingOutLoud with this one… This massacre is heart-wrenching, unthinkable, heart-stopping and all too-close to home… My daughter’s high school was on a full lockdown just yesterday for a gun on campus!!! Last summer I had to pull my son out of summer school (he’s special needs and it was his first time back after two years of COVID and he absolutely needed the extra schooling)… but I couldn’t send him back after a fifth grader brought the firearm… and my sons teacher/class had to take in the class of the student who brought the gun because the fifth grade teacher had to do police briefings and reports for the rest of the day. Last Friday my daughter told me of a shooting that took place after a highschool graduation at a school where she trains and runs track. Shooting at Highschool on May 19, 2022 .
